President John Dramani Mahama, together with Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, on Monday joined members of the Muslim community at the Jubilee House for the 2026 Presidential Iftar Dinner.
The event, held in observance of the holy month of Ramadan, brought together Islamic clerics, community leaders, and worshippers to break the fast with the President.
In his remarks, President Mahama emphasized the importance of unity, peace, and religious tolerance, noting that Ramadan is a period of reflection, sacrifice, and compassion. He commended the Muslim community for their continuous prayers for the nation and urged all Ghanaians to uphold values of harmony and coexistence.
Vice President Opoku-Agyemang also expressed appreciation to the Muslim community for their contribution to national development and encouraged them to continue promoting peace and discipline beyond the Ramadan period.
The Presidential Iftar Dinner is an annual tradition that fosters national cohesion and strengthens ties between the government and the Muslim community.
The gathering ended with prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity for Ghana.
