The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has begun a nationwide campaign tour as part of his bid to become the party’s National Chairman.

His campaign, which started in the Ashanti Region, has so far taken him to Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, and Western North regions, where he has been engaging constituency and regional executives to outline his vision for the party’s future.

According to his campaign team, the tour has received strong backing from party supporters, with endorsements highlighting growing momentum behind his bid ahead of the party’s internal elections.

Throughout his engagements, Mr. Boasiako has emphasized the need to rebuild grassroots structures, strengthen party unity, and reposition the NPP for victory in the 2028 general elections.

He reiterated the party’s commitment to development, opportunity, and progress, stressing that achieving these goals will require decisive leadership and collective effort.

Chairman Wontumi also pledged to work towards securing victory for the NPP’s 2028 presidential candidate, Mahamudu Bawumia, while focusing on reclaiming parliamentary seats lost in the 2024 elections.

The campaign team says the nationwide tour will continue in other regions in the coming weeks as he seeks broader support from delegates and party stakeholders.
