New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairman hopeful, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has congratulated all newly elected Constituency Executives following the successful conclusion of the party’s constituency elections across the country.
In a statement signed by Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, Campaign Spokesperson for Chairman Wontumi, the National Chairman hopeful commended the peaceful conduct of the elections and praised all stakeholders for ensuring a credible and orderly electoral process.
Chairman Wontumi lauded the Electoral Commission, the NPP’s Election Committees, and the Security Services for their professionalism and dedication in overseeing the elections.
He urged the newly elected executives to focus on the party’s next objective of reorganising and strengthening its structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
According to Chairman Wontumi, as NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has consistently stated, the real work begins after the internal elections. He said the responsibility of the newly elected executives is to unite the party, rebuild at the grassroots level, and mobilise supporters to secure victory in 2028.
He charged the executives to protect and defend the NPP brand in their respective constituencies, bring together all factions within the party to work in unity, and vigorously market Dr. Bawumia’s vision and leadership to the Ghanaian electorate.
Chairman Wontumi also extended a special message to the newly elected Constituency Executives in the Ashanti Region, urging them to maintain the region’s status as the NPP’s strongest political base.
He challenged the Ashanti Region executives to work tirelessly towards delivering more than 85 percent of the region’s votes to the NPP in the 2028 general elections, describing Ashanti as the “engine room” and “world bank” of the party.
The National Chairman hopeful assured all newly elected executives of his full support and encouraged them to put aside their differences, work together in unity, and remain focused on returning the NPP to power under the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2028 general elections.
Chairman Wontumi concluded by congratulating all successful candidates and wished them a fruitful and impactful tenure in office.
