Manchester City have completed the signing of Ghanaian winger Antoine Semenyo from AFC Bournemouth in a major January transfer, with reports putting the fee at around £65 million. Semenyo has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with the Premier League champions, keeping him at the club until 2031.

The 26-year-old scored 10 goals and provided three assists for Bournemouth in the current Premier League season before his move, and made an immediate impact in his final appearance by scoring a late winner in a 3-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Semenyo’s arrival at the Etihad Stadium strengthens Manchester City’s attacking options as they continue their push for domestic and European honours. The Ghana international becomes one of City’s key additions midway through the campaign and will aim to make his mark under manager Pep Guardiola.

The move marks a significant step in Semenyo’s career as he joins one of Europe’s most successful clubs, having previously played for Bristol City and Bournemouth in the English leagues.
