President Mahama Constitutes Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy

President John Dramani Mahama has constituted and will personally chair a Presidential Advisory Group on the Economy as part of efforts to provide strategic direction and expert guidance on Ghana’s economic management and recovery agenda.


The Advisory Group is made up of experienced economists, business leaders, financial experts, and policy practitioners drawn from both the public and private sectors.

The group is expected to offer independent advice on macroeconomic stability, fiscal discipline, debt management, private sector growth, job creation, and long-term economic transformation.
According to the Presidency, the establishment of the group reflects President Mahama’s commitment to inclusive and evidence-based decision-making, especially at a time when the country is working to stabilize the economy and restore confidence.

The Advisory Group will work closely with the President and key economic management institutions, submitting recommendations and policy options to support government programmes and national development priorities.


President Mahama is expected to engage the group regularly as the government pursues measures aimed at economic stabilization, sustainable growth, and improved living standards for Ghanaians.
